Description
This sweater is knitted from the top down, almost seamlessly, and uses the raglan technique for shaping the sleeves. The main stitch used is the jersey stitch.
Techniques employed include increases for the raglan shaping, decreases, and an i-cord bind off applied to both the neckline and the bottom of the body.
The cuff features the Banana Tree pattern from Barbara G. Walker’s book “A Treasury of Knitting Patterns,” which includes cabled stitches. The cuff is knitted perpendicular to the rest of the sleeve.
The pattern includes sizes XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, and XLarge. The chest circumference of the completed sweater is 73.5, 83.5, 94, 104, 114 centimeters respectively for each size. Instructions are provided in both English and Greek.
The knitted sweater with needles is a modern choice for crafting enthusiasts.
